Guy Fawkes Day Last fall, Mr. Tom Bost lead a not-so-angry mob of LHS students to "burn" (fire wasn't actually used) an effigy of Guy Fawkes in observance of the November British custom. According to history, Guy Fawkes led a rebellion of assasins to take down the King of England and his court. However, Fawkes was caught and his effort thwarted. In celebration of the British Empire's victory, the king ordered a rather large party to proceed. That is the beginning of the auspicious occasion known as Guy Fawkes Day (or night, depending on the time code).
