Brynn McCandless Hunt '00
Brynn McCandless was a member of the (Sacramento) Lutheran High School graduating class of 2000. From there, she moved on to Sonoma State University and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology. Brynn then left California and headed to Chicago (go Cubs!) to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2007. As a high school athlete, Brynn was fascinated with the human body. “There were some wonderful teachers who opened my eyes to anatomy, physiology and athletic training. Once in college, I decided to become a Physical Therapist, but my foundation for that decision was made at LHS.”
Currently Brynn is working as a traveling physical therapist. She covers temporary staffing needs all over the country from California and Michigan to Kentucky and Georgia, and in June of 2010 she’ll be heading to Hawaii for 3 months. “It's a pretty cool job. I get to see the country and get paid to do it. The area of physical therapy I mostly cover is acute care (orthopedic injuries, strokes, cardiac issues and general medical patients) in hospitals. I love it!”
In August 2009, Brynn was married to “my wonderful husband” Jason Hunt.
